Mental health challenges don’t only affect adults. Kids and teens experience mental health challenges, too.
If your child or teen is experiencing symptoms of a mental health challenge or has been diagnosed, it may feel overwhelming. You may not know where to look for information. In addition to speaking with your child’s healthcare provider, these fact sheets offer information about common mental health challenges in kids and teens.
Only a physician or a mental health care professional can diagnose your child’s mental health challenge and provide a treatment plan. If you need to make an appointment to see a mental health provider, see our Community Resources page to find one in your county or tribal nation.
