Client Centric Practices and Engaging Difficult Clients
November 25 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm
What is the training about?
To be effective advocates, we need to know how to build trusting relationships with the people we serve. But not everyone finds it easy to trust people who “just want to help.” In this presentation, we will talk about how to work effectively with people who, at least in the beginning, might not be excited about working with you!
Who is the presenter?
Presented by John Petroskas, Policy Specialist at the Minnesota Department of Human Services. Mr. Petroskas has worked in programs that serve homeless families and adults and has worked at DHS since 2013. Prior to working at DHS, he worked at Catholic Charities, where he helped start the Housing First Program and later managed the supportive services at Higher Ground.
Who should attend this training?
Service providers, property managers, case managers, outreach workers, and any others who work directly with individuals who are at risk or homeless.
